THE RETURN OF RUNEMAGICK
After over ten years of inactivity, Runemagick returns from their hiatus. A new album, "Evoked From Abysmal Sleep" is currently being recorded and will be released in the near future.
The band is already confirmed to play the Kill-Town Death Fest in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 9, and there will be a few additions to the itinerary for coming shows.
The band started back in 1990, heavily influenced by bands as Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, Autopsy, Bathory, Tiamat etc, and over the years developed a pretty unique sound of Death and Doom Metal.

Hab's gestern auch auf Facebook gelesen! Super Neuigkeiten! Zumal ich halt finde, dass nichts von den Projekten aus dem Umfeld auch nur annähernd an die Highlights von Runemagick rankam (egal ob nun z.B. Heavydeath oder Funeral Orchestra - alles gut, aber nicht so gigantisch wie etwa Darkness Death Doom oder On Funeral Wings)!
Die Band hat übrigens eindeutig einen eigenen Thread verdient!

Ich muss ja sagen das ich nach der letzten absolut öden "In circles..." etwas skeptisch war ob mir die "Sarcophagus In The Sky" überhaupt zussagt, daher hab ich mir die bisher nur auf MC geholt aber junge junge, hab teilweise echt Angst das mein Tapedeck heiss läuft, bin wieder hin und weg! Werd mir bei Gelegenheit mal die LP (bzw. bei der Länge wohl eher DLP) zulegen.

Ich finde den Vorgänger eigentlich ganz gut. Aber du hast Recht, das neue Album ist wirklich um Längen gewaltiger.

2018 verspricht ein gigantisches Jahr für Death Metal Szene zu sein.

Den Tunga Döden (ex-Heavydeath) signs with Ordo MCM
happy and proud about this cooperation.
After six years, three albums, and countless EPs and demos, the members of Heavydeath have decided to move on with a new chapter, thick as bones piled on heavy stones.
Heavydeath as a name is now a completed chapter, and the band's upcoming album will be released under the band name Den Tunga Döden. Thus, the Sarcophagus in the Sky album and The Newborn single are the last releases from and under the name Heavydeath.
The name change was necessary for the members, as they feel Den Tunga Döden fits their music better, and they wanted a whole new chapter, so to speak. However, the moniker Den Tunga Döden was already a potential band name in 2013 before Heavydeath was chosen. But, the Heavydeath project as it was has simply come to an end.
Nevertheless, as far as music is concerned, Den Tunga Döden will be a continuation of the journey where the Heavydeath chapter ended, but also a development towards darker and heavier dimensions with a name befitting the direction. In short, from now, the band will be seen and heard as Den Tunga Döden.
The first Den Tunga Döden album will be recorded later this year, likely November or December and will be released during the first half of 2020 via Ordo MCM. For more info, consult the links below.

Für wichtiger als die Namensänderung halte ich den Wechsel des Labels (weg von Aftermath Music) und ein deutliches Überdenken der Veröffentlichungspolitik.
