Desaster !!! More than 25 years of Teutonic Steel! Worship !!

neues Desaster Album klingt gut. Wird auf alle Fälle eingetütet.

Btw. soll laut.

Okay, its obviously that you want to speak now about the ninth Desaster-full-length-record. It's your decision and I respect that, haha. Go hog wild! Don´t forget, this is a printed zine, nobody will read this within the next four months – with a bit of luck.
That´s a good period because the album will probably be out around April 2021! It will be entitled “Churches without saints” and we record it in our own rehearsal room with Jan Gensheimer who already did the last Metal Inquisitor album. The album will contain the typical DESASTER mixture: we have fast Black Metal, pounding Thrash Metal and also epic stuff as well, but there will also be some new elements on the album. Due to the change of the drummer there will be some new rhythms and drum figures that have never been heard in the music of DESASTER. Our new drummer Hont is very skilled. Of course he can play the typical DESASTER rhythms, but he also brings his own style into the music. Don´t be afraid, it won´t be some jazz music, hehe!

More of the (in)famous “Jupiter Jones”-vibe, mh? Haha, yes, there will be more comments like this in the future. Get prepped for it! Lets change the topic quickly: The album-title begs plainly for another drawing of Axel Hermann, or?
Hehe, we don´t care about any comments like this, Hont is an excellent drummer who can play everything on the drums on a very high level and he´s a Metalhead to the bone although he played in a non-Metal band in the past.
No, this time no Axel Hermann, but we instructed two artists to do some sketches, so we can decide which is the better one fitting the album title!

You recorded again in your rehearsal room? You chooses this opportunity already for the “The Oath of an Iron Ritual”-album from 2016. Enough from well-appointed studios with leather sofa, without burn holes?
Well, the studios we recorded weren´t that much luxurious, indeed! But we very much enjoy the luxury to feel like home in our own 4 stinky walls!

What else could you already reveal about the new album? Song-titles? Guest appearances? Speak, Infernal, speak!
We already broke with the tradition of having guests on our last album, too many bands do it nowadays, it has lost it´s charm! So no guests again, just the old DESASTER farts bringing you traditional Black Thrash Metal! Well, I think most surprising will be the sound of the album. Whereas the last two albums were very similar soundwise (both were mixed by Patrick W. Engel) this time we wanted to walk different paths...The last albums had a very harsh sound where the mid and high frequencies were dominating. This time I wanted a warmer and smoother sound which on the other hand is also a bit musty and muffled. I always liked the sound of our „Tyrants of the Netherworld“ album from 2000 very much and the new album is the effort to develop this sound with more details and differentiated instruments. On „Tyrants...“ we had the rough mud of deepest hellish caves, now we present you the black lava which is flowing around the throne of Satan himself!
Other songtitles besides the already mentioned title track “Churches without saints” and “Hellputa” are “Sadistic Salvation”, “Exile is imminent”, “Love to learn the void”...

Steht da schon was fest?

Sagte hier jemand generisch. Das passt, wie ich finde. Ein Shirt brauche ich deswegen nicht. Hatte mir ohnehin erst letztens eine Tyrants of the Netherworld-Hemdchen bei der Band bestellt.
Die Musik wird bestimmt genial!
