Das Problem mit dem Aufbekommen der Box wurde ja weiter vorne schon angesprochen, aber letztlich klappt das ganz gut, wenn man etwas Feinmotorik walten lässt. Die Kanten der Box sind nicht die zarten Schenkel eines 16-jährigen Mädchens ... und ihr seid keine brünftigen 17-jährigen mehr, die diese mit höchster Ungeduld und ohne jegliches Feingefühl auseinanderquetschen müssen.

Hab' ich das nicht schön gesagt? Ich sollte öfter direkt nach dem Aufstehen lyrisch tätig sein.

Die LP-Box (also wirklich die Box und nicht den Inhalt) sollte man dem Macher um die Ohren schlagen. Was soll ich machen, damit sie zu bleibt und der Inhalt nicht nachts sich über den Boden verteilt? Zukleben?

Was für ne starke Diskussion! Ich finde die polemische These interessant: Christliche Bands sind per Definition kein Death Metal. Klar kann man sie beiseite wischen und einfach die Musik genießen. Und sicherlich gibt es in „der“ Metalszene größere Probleme.

Aber sie berührt vielleicht doch einen Wert der zentral im Metal ist, den der Authentizität. Wenn man selbst dem Christentum kritisch bis ablehnend gegenübersteht oder zumindest bezweifelt, dass es einen Gott gibt, kann man dann noch christliche Bands hören? Da sowohl musikalische Vorlieben, als auch (a)religiöse Überzeugungen identitätsstiftend sein können, kann es hier also zu einem Konflikt kommen. Ist das aber ein Problem?


Ja, wenn man sich *ausschließlich* stark über die Musik, die Texte, die “Message” identifiziert.

Nein, wenn man *auch* die Kunstform „Metal“ selbst liebt.

Mayhem haben satanische Themen. Kann ich Mayhem mit Begeisterung hören, ohne Satanist zu sein, ja verdammt. Weil ich Metal als Kunstform liebe. NC arbeiten sich an einem spirituellen-christlichen Thema ab. Genau so wie Amorphis sich mit nordischer Mythologie auseinandersetzen. Diese musikalische Auseinandersetzung mit mythologischen Themen kann man spannend und faszinierend finden und dennoch muss man sich doch nicht mit den Themen an sich identifizieren. Slayers Angel of Death bietet auch kein inhaltliches Identifikationspotential, aber es ist eine großartige musikalische Auseinandersetzung mit den grauenhaften Menschenversuche von Mengele.

Das Lied provoziert, es fordert mich zu persönlichen Auseinandersetzung heraus, genau so wie die frühen gewaltverherrlichende Plattencover von CC. Das großartige am Metal ist für mich auch gerade dieses sperrige, mich menschlich herausfordernde Provokation. Ist das jetzt alles überrationalisiert? Nein, weil mich die DD gerade beim hören auch emotional mitnimmt.

So, ich musste die Diskussion hier gerade für mich mal gedanklich ordnen.

Ich bin vom Abschiedswerk mittlerweile arg angetan. Es ist in meinen Augen das "rundeste" NC-Werk, was Songs und Atmosphäre angeht. Ich höre es wirklich gerne.

Mittlerweile gefällt mir die letzte Scheibe mit Abstand am Besten.

Due to the international situation we were forced to cancel all farewell shows we had actually planned for 2020 and we will not be able to postpone any of those to a later date. It was a long journey to go, with many highs and lows, but we are utmost grateful for all the moments we shared as a band, on the road, in the studio and with YOU, our supporters, our fans.

We were never big in the business, never sold ourselves in any way, but that`s exactly what we are proud of. We always lived by the formula of integrity, being true to ourselves and the music we adore so much. We will always support the underground Metal scene as individuals and our sincerest hope is, that all aspects of our sacred cult named Heavy Metal will last to continue forever.

So let us celebrate the last rites together and keep us in memory for the above mentioned, at least this is all we can hope for. We would like to thank wholeheartedly the following people, bands and zines, who accompanied and supported NECROS CHRISTOS from the very early beginnings `til the end:

Ich bin ja froh, daß Mors Dalos Ra noch Musik macht. Mit SIJJIN ist ja was tolles entstanden. Aber ja, ich vermisse NECROS CHRISTOS auch. Als die auf der Bildfläche erschienen, war das eine echte Wohltat bei den ganzen technischen Frickel-Death Metal. Die waren und sind es eigentlich für immer recht besonders.

Ich finde es schade, dass es keine Abschiedstour gibt, dennoch respekiere ich die Haltung und Konsequenz der Band!

Ich bin ja froh, daß Mors Dalos Ra noch Musik macht. Mit SIJJIN ist ja was tolles entstanden. Aber ja, ich vermisse NECROS CHRISTOS auch. Was mich im Moment total umhaut ist ja, dass Mors Dalos Ra mit Sijjin eher zurück zu den Wurzeln geht! Ich dachte eher nach dem Ende von Necros Christos wäre das sowas wie sein Shisha-Bar-Musik-Projekt. Geiles Demo! Direkt mal bestellt!
