Ustalost is the solo project of Yellow Eyes co-founder Will Skarstad, conceived a half-decade ago with The Spoor of Vipers as a pressure valve for ideas too decadent for any other outlet. He returns with a second release, Before The Glinting Spell Unvests, a vision of grandiosity and endless beguiling depth, dragged dripping out of the bog with handfuls of fruit so overripe as to be nearly alcoholic. Ustalost has always been an experiment in indulgence, and Glinting Spell asks for even more, careening through landscapes of hysteria and melancholy with impulsiveness and the godlike acetic whiff of incoherence.
Recorded straight to tape in the woods of Connecticut, with lyrics, production, and album design by Sam Skarstad, Before The Glinting Spell Unvests is another entry in an increasingly exceptional legacy.

Bei mir läuft momentan das starke Debüt der Niederländer Plaagdrager:
Gibt es leider momentan nicht physisch, aber es sollte nicht allzu lange dauern bis sich ein Label erbarmt. Die machen nix neu oder innovativ, dafür fast alles richtig.

Eine schmeiß ich hier noch rein, ist zwar mehr Black/Death aber egal.
Otargos aus Frankreich sind mittlerweile auch schon bei Album Nummer 7 angelangt, welches den Titel "Fleshborer Soulflayer" trägt.
Richtig böses Teil, läuft mir gerade sehr gut rein. Generell lief bei mir heuer viel Black/Death, Black/Doom etc.

Ich weiß, ich bin VIEL zu spät zur Party, aber: Die neue Netherbird gefällt mir. Ja, Albumcover für die Tonne, Produktion könnte ruhig rauher und dreckiger sein, ist halt Wohlfühl-BM. Aber macht mir genauso viel Spaß wie die Into The Vast Uncharted vor 2 Jahren. Wird mal Zeit, den Rest kennen zu lernen.

Unfassbar geiles Teil. Melodischer und majestätischer geht Atmosphärischer BM nicht. Den Summoning Fans dürfte das "Düstere" etwas fehlen, aber trotzdem sollte man das einfach anchecken:
