Immer, wenn das Wort "Theuern" auftaucht, werde ich in vielerlei Hinsicht sentimental. Meine mühevoll ergatterten Tickets für meine Frau und mich musste ich damals leider verkaufen - weil am 3.11.15, also 3 bzw. 4 Tage vor Konzert, meine Tochter zur Welt kam. So werde ich den Konzertausfall für mich immer mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge sehen. Letzteres vor allem auch deswegen, weil die ebenfalls beteiligten Bands Dark Forest und Lunar Shadow zusammen mit dem Kodex so ziemlich die Speerspitze meiner musikalischen Leidenschaft der letzten 15Jahre bilden (Ich liebe meine Tochter natürlich trotzdem über alles )

Dafür dass A. Kodex ja keine typische Tour-Band ist und nicht sooo häufig live spielt, hab ich sie mittlerweile doch schon recht häufig gesehen:

Die gestrigen Posts zum baldigen 10-Jährigen der Theuern-Konzerte haben mich mal wieder zum Anhören und Anschauen der entsprechenden DVD gebracht.

Resultat: Ganzkörpergänsehaut, ein wohliger Schauer und Fist-raising vorm Fernseher (meine Frau hat nur mit dem Kopf geschüttelt und ist irgendwohin abgedampft...)

Was für eine schöne Erinnerung an zwei so dermaßen großartige Abende...

Schade, dass es zu der Perchten-Aktion im Innenhof nicht noch mehr Filmmaterial gibt.

Message from Manuel:
People of the Moon, I’m taking a break from playing live with the Kodex. Due to a number of family- and job-related reasons, my heart and my mind are currently in a different place and have been so for quite a while. I‘ve been slowing down the band for years when it came to playing live, so this will give you the chance to see them on stage more often in the next years.
It‘s a mutual decision we had discussed for years, so no bad feelings, and of course, we‘re still in touch and working on some new stuff.
Hammaburg and Up The Hammers, the two best festivals on the planet, will be my last shows with the Kodex though. Kodex-family member Ulle (Under Ruins), who already helped us out for a couple of Shows in 2019 will replace me after that and give you hell on stage. So please give the guys/girl full support and enjoy the hell out of next years‘ shows. I‘ll be back with the gang when the stars are right. See you soon.

Das war auch mein erster Gedanke. Ich hab irgendwie gedacht, dass da eine konkrete Ankündigung kurz bevor steht, aber "we‘re still in touch and working on some new stuff" klingt irgendwie nicht so, als ob da in absehbarer Zukunft was Neues veröffentlicht wird...?

my thoughts exactly. Mir wurde im Sommer noch von einer Album-Release Show im Herbst 26 gerüchtet, aber das ist jetzt schon ne ziemlich vage Aussage
