Oder auch 'Kollapse'. Weil eine der besten Hardcore/Noiserock/Sludgebands aller Zeiten.

Und zum dritten Mal schlägt Apocaplexy Records völlig überrraschend und in der üblichen hochklassigen Qualität zu und veröffentlich völlig überraschend nach 'Godbox' (erstmals) und der brillianten 'Kollapse' Auflage (erstmals) 'Venom' wieder auf Vinyl. Nicht billig, aber wer die Preise des Originals und die Qualität von Apocaplexy Releases kennt, der weiß, dass der Preis gerechtfertigt ist.

The circle is nearly complete: Apocaplexy lastly releases Breach's infamous album 'Venom' on vinyl. Originally released by longtime conspirators Burning Heart closely prior the new millennium it is probably the bands most well received work. Through a connection to Neurosis it even saw a US licensing by Relapse Records. This deal wasn't built to endure for a long period. About the time Relapse started to show bigger interest in working closely with Breach, the band and it’s internal relations started to deteriorate.

'Venom' was the breaking point for Breach. The steps away from the classical hardcore into a heavier, darker and more complex approach were taken slowly but steady – 'Venom' was the defining moment for what this band was capable of and what made them so unique. The heavy riffing, meditative and almost tribal rhythms, the overall claustrophobic atmosphere alongside the trademark vocals and apocalyptic lyrics made this record one of a kind. This record even brought a full-on music video in form of the instrumental 'Diablo' with airplay on global music programs. Still Breach unfortunately only made a small impact in the overall picture of heavy music, only gaining a small circle of loyal fans. Over the years this group of loyal admirers grew in numbers and Breach's influence on contemporary heavy music is unmistakable – and 'Venom' was the main reason for this.

Now for the first time in years the record will be available on vinyl again. After bringing 'Godbox' and 'Kollapse' to vinyl, Apocaplexy is proud to announce the second coming of 'Venom' in it’s full glory, licensed by Epitaph Europe, remastered by Karl Daniel Lidén, cut on 45rpm, pressed on 180g vinyl and with a newly designed LP artwork by Pierre Johansson, which is printed full colour & Pantone on heavy gatefold jackets.

auch hier eine der wichtigsten bands. auch die ersten beiden hardcoreplatten, wovon eben die zweite FRICTION mein einstieg war. musste mir neulich noch die orginal cd auf discogs schiessen. sonst kein glückliches sterben möglich. von venom hab ich seit damals das orginal vinyl.
würde mich freuen wenn auch die andern als vinyls (wieder-)aufgelegt werden.

edit: wie ich eben nochmal die OUTLINES (die mir insgesamt am wenigsten geläufige) gehört habe will ich nochmal unterstreichen, dass OUTLINES und FRICTION sehr geile modern-hc-platten sind die nun auch schon 20 jahre auf dem buckel haben.

Mir gefallen Friction und Outlines auch sehr gut sowie alle EPs/7"/Samplerbeiträge etc. Haben nie was Schlechtes gemacht, aber ab "It's Me God" wurden sie dann wirklich genial. Hab damals alles gekauft was es gab von denen, auch auf Vinyl. "Venom" war wohl die teuerste Platte die ich je gekauft habe, aber die musste einfach her. "Kollapse" wurde vor ein paar Jahren erstmals auf LP veröffentlicht und zuvor "Godbox". Danach gabs Neuauflagen von "It's Me God" und "Venom", die brauch ich nicht, hab das Original.

Schade, dass der Sänger bei Cult Of Luna ausgestiegen ist. "Somewhere Along The Highway" hör ich noch immer ganz gern.

Ich hoffe ja immer noch, dass es irgendwann den Auftritt vom Beyond the redshift auf DVD gibt. Die Location und der Auftritt von COL waren schon verdammt klasse.

It's me god

The circle is now completed: Apocaplexy lastly releases Breach's 2nd full length 'It's me god' (1997) on vinyl. The one where the magic started to happen. I still know the moment when I discovered Breach: At a certain time, I began to check out some samplers to discover some "new" bands, and at some point, I was listening to that 'Cheap Shots III' Sampler of Burning Heart. My lameness got immediately healed, when 'Replenish The Empty' started to play. I felt like I found a diamond in the mud, a beast within a big bunch of Melodypunk, for which Burning Heart mostly stood for.
I fell in love with that band this very second.

Like 'Venom', 'It's me god' will be availabe again on vinyl for the first time within 17 years (the edition on Trust No One Recordings came out 1999). Again licensed by Epitaph Europe, remastered by Karl Daniel Lidén, cut on 45rpm, pressed on 180g vinyl and with a newly designed LP artwork by Pierre Johansson, which is printed full colour, silver ink & UV spot lacquer on heavy gatefold jackets.

According to the bands wish, there will be no further re-releases. No use in asking for 'Friction', 'Outlines', 'EP Collection' or something else.
