Ich finde ja die "Immortal Legacy" richtig fett, für mich ihr bisheriges Highlight in der Diskografie. Hätte mir gewünscht sie hätten diesen Stil (mehr traditionelle Heavy Metal Elemente) weiterverfolgt, als wieder in das wüste Geballer ihrer Anfangstage zurückzufallen (welches zweifelsohne auch seinen Reiz hat, keine Frage).

Dort sind es knapp 22 Minuten. Eigentlich ein Killer Album!
Aber der Post darunter vom ehemaligen Gitarristen Neil ist schon heftig:
"Glad everyone likes the new album. I was in the band from 2021- 2024 and wrote all the music. If anyone’s wondering what took so long, or why the lineup changes so often .. allow me to set the record straight for you. All 3 of us that played on this album quit the band a LONG time ago. Chris the bass player quit the band and Katon deleted his tracks out of spite.. so I played bass instead. Danny quit the band because he was sick of Katon’s shit, but funny enough his drum tracks remained on the album. The final straw for me quitting the band was when Katon tried to fight me in the parking lot after practice, didn’t do anything , and then blocked me on Facebook. Despite all 3 that were actually involved quitting.. Katon continues to promote it as if nothing ever happened. And the 3 new guys have no problem taking the credit for songs they didn’t write or record. (I’m also speculating the new guy can’t figure all the songs out since there is no album release show) Katon is what they call a “covert narcissist” Definitely seems like a genuine nice guy until you start working with him. It’s a shame … the band really could’ve been something if he wasn’t so problematic. So that’s the truth behind all this. Let it be known !! I really wish it wasn’t the case … but it is. As for the music itself, I hope you guys dig it because we worked hard on it."

Tja da scheint was dran zu sein. Zumindest ist der Text auf Bandcamp schon sehr fragwürdig, wenn jetzt keiner der an den Aufnahmen beteiligten Musiker (außer Katon natürlich...) mehr im Lineup ist:
"The band will release their sixth album “Faster Than Death” in early 2025. It’s release will coincide with the 40th anniversary of the band. Katon has gathered a new live line-up around him with Jose Gonzalez, Allan Chan and Emilio Marquez. Faster than Death is the impressive result that makes the hearts of all thrash metal fans beat faster and puts a real strain on the neck muscles."
Kann ich verstehen dass der Herr Metcalf da angepisst ist! Davon ab killt das Album aber mächtig, die Hand zuckt zur Geldbörse!! Ich würde annehmen dass die beteiligten Musiker zumindest an den Verkäufen beteiligt sind, auch von da wahrscheinlich auch nicht gerade Unsummen bei rüberkommen werden.

Findest dann einen Gitarristen der es kann, und auch macht. Und wenn die Arbeit getan ist, geht man im nicht Guten wieder auseinander.
