After their successfully debut album back in 2012 the Italian undeads are back in best murderous shape. FDA Records is really proud to release ERODED's brillant new ghoulish full length album 'NECROPATH'. ERODED was formed back in 2003 in Alessandria/Italy and so far released 2 demos, one compilation and the debut full length 'ENGRAVINGS OF A GRUESOME EPITAPH'. The band contains members and ex- of MORTUARY DRAPE, VOIDS OF VOMIT etc.

Sollte hier nicht so ganz durchrutschen. Steht auf dem Einkaufsplan. Ich mochte besonders die Demo-Compilation sehr.

Am Ende ist "Necropath" dann eben doch nur Durchschnitt geworden. Klar ist das typischer "swedish styled" Death Metal, der ordentlich gespielt und produziert ist und der die entsprechenden Fans auch ansprechen sollte. Allerdings fehlt es mir an Abwechslung, es bewegt sich alles irgendwo im Midtempo. So ist alles sehr vorhersehbar und wird dadurch sehr schnell langweilig. Dazu werden viele Songs einfach ohne ein vernünftiges Ende "ausgefaded" (sogar der Opener). Am Ende bleibt halt einfach nichts hängen. Stil und Sound ok, Songwriting oder gar Spannungsaufbau gleich null. Schade.
