Keep It True #26 Lauda-Königshofen 23. bis 25.4. 2026

Was sagt die KI :D

Hmm, a band influenced by early Black Sabbath and also credited with co-creating a new genre... That definitely narrows it down.

Black Sabbath’s early days inspired a lot of heavy metal and doom metal bands, but if the band also co-created a new genre, it’s probably something foundational in metal history.

Some top candidates:
  • Venom — Often credited with pioneering black metal as a genre. They were heavily influenced by Black Sabbath’s dark sound.
  • Celtic Frost or Bathory — Important for black and extreme metal, but they came slightly after Venom.

Given the description, Venom is the strongest guess here. They took Sabbath’s doom-heavy, dark style and pushed it into something entirely new—black metal.

So my guess for the Saturday headliner announcement is Venom. What do you think?

Vielleich die Blood, Fire, Death Bathory Tribute Band. Wobei mir Candlemass mit Messiah 100x lieber wäre. ;)

Tom Gabriel Warriors TRIUMPH OF DEATH at KEEP IT TRUE 2026!
Performing Hellhammer – and some early CELTIC FROST songs!

We are proud to announce a very special appearance at KEEP IT TRUE Festival 2026:

TRIUMPH OF DEATH

The official tribute to the early legacy of Tom Gabriel Warrior, founding force behind both Hellhammer and Celtic Frost.

At KIT 2026, Triumph Of Death will unleash a set of raw, primal Hellhammer material, as expected — but this time, they will go deeper into the abyss:

For the first time, they will include a selection of early Celtic Frost songs in their live performance!

Tom Gabriel Warrior:

„Ever since Triumph Of Death was invited to play Keep It True Rising festival and to experience its fantastically dedicated audience in November of 2021, we all wished to return to play it again some day in the future. We are therefore deeply delighted that Oliver Weinsheimer has invited us to appear with Triumph Of Death at Keep It True 2026. And we are of course also gladly fulfilling Oliver's personal wish for us to add a small handful of very early Celtic Frost songs to our set.”

From the chaotic aggression of Hellhammer to the groundbreaking sound of early Frost, this special appearance is a rare opportunity to witness the dawn of extreme Metal.

We are honored to welcome a true legend of the underground to KEEP IT TRUE 2026:
