Da freue ich mich auch schon tierisch drauf! Hab sie in der aktuellen Besetzung noch überhaupt nicht live gesehen.

☨Regarding Live-Performances☨
Today we have to announce that as a band we have decided to not play live anymore.
Our last show will take place at Party.San Open Air in August.
It's not a secret, that I have never been fond of playing live, I stated this in numerous interviews in the past. All shows we did in the last two years were mainly done because we felt that we somehow owed it to our fans, because I was of the opinion, that it was my duty, a token of respect and thankfulness. Yet things got worse throughout time and at a certain point of Lunar Shadow I felt, that I had to put myself and my mental wellbeing in the first place.
I hope you can respect and understand this decision, as difficult as it may be.
Yet we are a band of friends and this decision wasn't made by only one person. Though the other members of Lunar Shadow aren't that reluctant of playing live as I am, they all fully back this decision and have expressed similar feelings regarding live concerts and the places they see themselves and this band.
So, come see us in summer for one last time, ere the grain on the fields withers in the clutch of autumn.

Finde ich ebenfalls sehr schade, bin durch den Auftritt auf dem HAI (für mich Tagessieger) so richtig angefixt worden.

Oh no, das ist verdammt schade Gerade nach dem fantastischen Aufritt auf dem HAI und wo sie jetzt doch einen sehr charismatischen Frontmann haben. Bei "Roses" hatte ich zum Beispiel wirklich Gänsehaut. Ich hab gar nicht gewusst, dass Max sich so unwohl fühlt auf der Bühne. Hat für mich eigentlich immer einen sehr selbstbewussten und coolen Eindruck auf der Bühne gehabt. Aber so kann man sich täuschen.
Na ja, zumindest bleiben sie als Studioband erhalten. Ich würde mich natürlich freuen, wenn sie nach einiger Zeit ihre Meinung wieder ändern würden, aber wenn das auf der Bühne stehen Max psychisch so belastet, ist das natürlich besser sie lassen das lieber mit den Konzerten. Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden der Musiker geht immer vor.
Immerhin konnte ich zwei starke Auftritte von der Band erleben. Einmal beim HAI Festival und beim ersten Harder than Steel. Zum Trost werde ich mir heute gleich einmal wieder die beiden Alben anhören.

Ich denke schon. In dem Statement gint es ja nur um die Live Shows und nicht um das Ende der Band. War sollten die sich auch auflösen. Es scheint ja keinen Streit oder ähnliches zu geben...Es war ja nicht von einer Auflösung der Band die Rede, daher gehen meine Hoffnungen auch in diese Richtung.

Ich bin auch verwundert und enttäuscht. Ich fand den Auftritt überragend in Essen und das hat die Band in meiner Gunst nochmal richtig in Höhe getrieben. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass die Band auch Spaß hatte und finde es schade. Man hätte ja auch ohne Statement wenige ausgewählte Konzerte spielen können, wurde ja glaube ich zuletzt eh so gehandhabt.
Natürlich darf das jede Band so machen wie sie will, aber ich finde es extrem schade und hoffe, dass noch weitere tolle Alben folgen. Es bleibt aber natürlich auch die Frage, ob die anderen Bandmitglieder das auf Dauer auch so akzeptieren. Wäre echt schade um eine tolle Band (ich habe leider etwas gebraucht, um das zu erkennen).

German metallers LUNAR SHADOW will release their third studio album “Wish To Leave” on March 19 via Cruz Del Sur Music.
“Wish To Leave” marks a change in direction for LUNAR SHADOW — after two internationally well-received albums of heavy metal-meets-Scandinavian black metal, founder, guitarist and songwriter Max Birbaum had other, more experimental things in mind, namely, taking the band into indie/post-punk territory: “It certainly sounds different and I suppose many people won't like it,” he says. “I’m really looking forward to the release; a little controversy in difficult times might just be what everyone needs right now. “The guitars are taken back a little this time, the gain on our amps is lower, the bass is more prominent. No fast shredding, no wild riffing. But our pants are still tighter than they should be and our boots are pointy — it's a good album to have a drink to and forget about your problems. Or make them worse… that depends.” The follow-up to 2019’s “The Smokeless Fires” was recorded from July to November 2020 in Leipzig under the careful eye of engineer/producer Max Herrmann at Glooven Studio. Mastering was done by V. Santura of DARK FORTRESS and TRIPTYKON at Woodshed Studio. The artwork was created by the one and only Denis Forkas Kostromitin. “Wish To Leave” track listing 1. Und bevor sich jemand über die Beschreibung aufregt, ja das Album ist Anders. Ja, es ist mutig, aber enthällt dennoch Alle LS Trademarks. Das Ding läuft seit 7 Wo in Dauerschleife und ich finde den Schritt nicht nur mutig, sondern auch nötig.

ich bin gespannt. Das Cover ist schon einmal äußerst schick
Die Platte wird spalten. Keine Frage, und dass weiss man auch.
Wenn man aber offen für eine wirkliche Weiterentwicklung ist, und keine Kopie des Vorgängers erwartet, dann wird die auch zünden.
Und mit "The Darkness Between The Stars" hat Max sein Meisterwerk geschrieben. Die Solis....

Waren bisher nicht so meins, aber das klingt jetzt zumindest interessant.
