Come and feast at the repulsive fusion of death metal and grindcore. After gaining decent recognition last year with the „Brewing Rancid Stew“ EP, the German gruesome trio returns to the sound of classic and abrasive death/grind riffing from the masters of gore under the name „Meat Hook Mutilation“.


The new material is beyond the epitome of sickness – a total of four tracks, clocking under 10 minutes of grinding death’s breath, that will leave the listeners ear bleeding from disgust.


Each track easily stands out on its own, from „The Dead Walk at Night“ to „Vapour Torture“ that allows the music to be blazingly fast and furious but never becomes dull. Unlike its predecessor, „Meat Hook Mutilation“ drifts into their most violent and primitive works. Release facts:

In death metal there is no law!

Hamburg based death metal commando DAWN OF OBLITERATION definitely set out to conquer the underground scene with their latest EP entitled “Ruins”. This release will beat loads of other records in terms of its sheer ferocity and the oppressively heavy the whole thing is. “Ruins” is a great successor to their previous masterpiece release “Dawn of Obliteration” in 2013.

It is essentially a purer form of death metal – free from any of the classic death metal traits that oftentimes only stick with one influential preference to bring forth its madness. You can hear many great influences from various death and doom metal classick of yesteryear in some places. One could even say this EP bears the resemblance of heaviness to the work of mighty BOLT THROWER. And that is saying something.

The quality of “Ruins” lies not within individual songs but the whole EP in its entirety under 14:40 minutes of rough savagery. Of corpse, the full impression this new DAWN OF OBLITERATION will smashes mercilessly onto its death metal fans with their unrelenting atmosphere of horror. And if there is a release that came out in the year of 2019 that is meant to blow your mind away and worth mentioning, this is definitely that proper choice and will finally be available physically:

The world is in utter chaos as German horrific death metallers CASKET is joining force with the unstoppable Norwegian gravediggers FILTHDIGGER to unleash a new split 7″. Each band provides one recording with a total running nearly eleven minutes — a significant number to create something extremely significant release. And what makes this split release an entirely fascinating piece of art, these two entities are successfully keeping the darkest, oldest roots of death metal’s savagery and morbid majesty intact in a surprisingly short amount of time.

The pairing combines two tracks with a storm of malevolent riffs and very powerful and remarkable melody lines. Both CASKET and FILTHDIGGER sonically and aesthetically align to create a whole in an underground charm. The relentless morbidity coupled with tons of catchy and groovy passages is a perfect dose that does not lack anything that will make diehards devote their ears to this 7″.

After the release of their highly acclaimed debut album ”Only Ashes Remain”, the world was ravaged by the plague. As always, SEPULCHRAL CURSE did not find it suitable to stand still and headed out to the studio to record their new EP “Deathbed Sessions”. Featuring three previously unreleased songs and one cover track as a tribute to Finnish Death Metal, the latest offering shows that SEPULCHRAL CURSE is here to take the scene by storm! Furious and relentless Death Metal combined with twisted and ominous brutality. From the more atmospheric song “Circular Aeons” to the wrathful attack of “Dystheist”, the EP shows that SEPULCHRAL CURSE is not afraid to blaze their own trail.
“Dystheist” pushes the boundaries and the sound of the band to the extremes. “Deathbed Sessions” will see the light of day on May 6th, 2022. Lycanthropic Chants is releasing the EP on vinyl, tape and digital, Transylvanian Recordings is handling the US tape and Personal Records will work with the CD.

Are you ready for some chopping death metal from Norway? FILTHDIGGER play their death metal with the right balance between filth-ridden heaviness fuelled with punkish energy and this eerie Norwegian atmosphere only bands from this country are able to build up. Five own tracks are getting garnished with a cover version of “Ridden With Disease” by AUTOPSY, that couldn’t fit better in this time, when those masters just announced a new record too! All tracks were remastered directly by and with the band for this vinyl release.

A work of filthiest death metal from the Land of the Rising Sun to the Land of a Thousand Lakes that’s crawling with indigestible splendor is finally manifested. Japan’s ANATOMIA and Finland’s MORBIFIC, two immense underground entities sharing 14 minutes of bludgeoning death metal in the spectral soundscapes of oppressive doom metal on one split 7″.

It’s finely crafted and full of excellent musicianship and chemistry. Both bands are showcasing their extremely unmistakable virtuosity in grime dungeons of rawness that make the veteran Japanese duo Death Doomster ANATOMIA and the rising Finnish Death metal tier MORBIFIC worshipped by the followers of all things hideous. The three tracks of the split are displaying the total negation of life; dark immersive atmospheres entangled with heavy memorable riffing on a chasmic sound production-wise from which a unique bond of two morbid visions is usually attained and venturing beyond its border—a severe force in the metal world that is impossible to resist.

As usual, the decent production of Dismal Slow Death metal that is horrifying was tracked at Studio Whiteness and Premuto Studio Japan, mixed and mastered by Takashi. And the Morbific tracks were recorded in Kitee, Finland under the helm of Jusa Janhonen.

And now, the truth has spoken. Would you like to enter the Ghastly Grave to meet these Demented Souls.
