MOONSORROW - Jumalten Aika (01. April)

"...Extremely proud to announce that the label has signed a retail distribution deal for Germany, Switzerland, and Austria with SOULFOOD MUSIC.

This is a deal that has been under discussion for years!

Despite the label having tons of supporters from Germany since its inception, and the fact that Germany is one of the most fanatical countries in the world regarding music, a proper distribution arrangement is something that has eluded the label for far too long!

I am also painfully aware how cheap shipping costs are within Germany, so that has been a massive thorn in the side of many German customers.

Also, with continually growing support in Austria and Switzerland over the past couple years, as well as repeat live apperances by Perturbator / Gost / Dynatron and others, it only makes sense to get more and more records on the ground there.

Soulfood is considered the go-to place for metal distribution in the area, dealing with nearly all of the known underground death and black metal labels.

I've been dying to have proper retail distribution in the area for a long time. Can't wait to see this grow."

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"...Hyper-limited color versions of each, available exclusively from the label. Black versions available from the label and distribution, as usual!..."

Now, the shirt that we never printed before!
Voimasta Ja Kunniasta shirt in the original colors of the painting!
Order here:
http://www.firebirdindustries.eu/shop/Moonsorrow-Voimasta-Ja-Kunniasta-T-Shirt_1

This is how the painting by Skrymer (Finntroll guitarist) looks like in real life. The colors were muted for the album cover for some long forgotten reason. So get yourself the real thing!

Was ne verfickte Drecksfirma.

So is das einfach Mist.

Dear Friends, Fans and Followers,

It is time to explain the reason for the delay in the post-production of Home of the Wind. It can be summarized as: extremely serious health issues.

Those who know Leo Aragón personally know how much he commits to his obligations. Even we, the small filming crowd, could see this in the short time we spent together, when some days he would even skip lunch in order to have everything double-checked, triple-checked and perfectly ready before the next session. In London he doesn't work in cinematography, he works as a manager in the hospitality sector, a position that requires lots of sleepless nights and long weekends; in other words, lots of stress. And Leo, of course, gave his 100%. In addition to that, he had suffered from serious stomach-related problems for years. Combining the two things can be an explosive mixture, and this case was no exception. Last spring, Mr. Director was diagnosed with cancer.

By now, the worst part is already over. The operations went well and he is out of risk. However, there is a treatment period ahead, which he will spend in a different, stress-free environment. Needless to say, he is not working any more; he's on a leave for the whole period of the treatment. This actually leaves a lot of room for optimism—he will finally be able to dedicate to the documentary the time it requires, and then some. We are even considering traveling to each other's country for a few days to work together not only online but also physically, which was completely out of the question under the previous circumstances.

As you can imagine, something like this doesn't happen overnight, and before the cancer was diagnosed, there was a lot of pain and suffering (this also being the reason why the shippings were interrupted; more on this in the next update). For a long time, Leo didn't want to say anything of this publicly—he insisted (and insists) that the editing work and the delays are his responsibility, and he's ready to assume it. But right now we are in a turning point, from which things will hopefully go only for the better, and we felt this was the moment to be more open about it. This is certainly a hard topic to approach, because it's very personal, but at the same time, it involves something we owe to many people. Back in January, after a long period of silence, we committed to post one update per month; now, with this statement, we hope to finally remove completely the "veil of mystery" that seemed to be covering this project in the last times.

We are very thankful to you all for your patience. We know that, besides the messages in our mailbox, many of you have approached the band and even the merch table asking for news about Home of the Wind. We really appreciate the interest you all keep in this project and especially the respect and support we always received.

In the coming days we will continue with the usual updates, so let's all wish Leo a quick and peaceful recovery, and talk to you guys very soon!
