Absagen, weil es unwahrscheinlich ist, dass der Spass in einem Monat rum ist - und nicht ggfls. kurz vor knapp die Gäste vor die Problematik stellen, dass ihre Reisearrangements nicht mehr stornier- und erstattbar sind. Etc.

Wer jetzt noch bucht, sollte so buchen dass er stornieren kann.
Ist ja in Zeitenvon booking und co kein problem.

Als Veranstalter muss man eben auf das Verbot warten, ist bei Kinos das gleiche, sonst hat man keine chance auf Geld von der Regierung, da man so behandelt würde wie jemand der einfach nur zugemacht hat weil er keine Lust hatte offen zu haben.
Ist leider so

Wenn der veranstalter jetzt vor der Wahl steht

A) Absagen und dadurch auch an alle Dienstleister alle Rechnungen zahlen müssen, an die Bands evtl Gagen da er ja selber abgesagt hat = Bankrott

B) warten bis die Regierung das Verbot ausspricht, wo in Folge dann einfach zb Verträge einfach wegen nichterfüllbarkeit gegenstandslos werden.
Kann es Ihm wohl keiner verübeln dass er nicht sehenden Auges in die Kreissäge läuft.


Klassisches Beispiel Miete.
Du mietest einen Saal für Hochzeiten im Schloss tillburg für 2000€.

A) du cancelst 3 Wochen vorher = du zahlst trotzdem 2000€ (wenn im Vertrag steht dass canceln den vollen Betrag kostet)

B) die Regierung verbietet alle Feierlichkeiten und Feste = Vertrag kommt nicht zu stande da unerbringbar von Seiten des Schlossbesitzer = du musst nichts zahlen

Due to the recent announcements from the Dutch government that all events in the Netherlands are forbidden until June, it will be impossible for us to hold Roadburn in April as planned. Sowas ist teils schwierig, weil viele Festivals und co jetzt schon teilweise das Bookingfür 2021 fix haben.

Genauso wenn das Festival eben nur Teil einer Tour war, muss das eben nicht bedeuten, dass die Band nächstes Jahr auch zu der Zeit in Holland oder sonst in greifbarer Nähe ist.

Firstly, we want to apologise for the lack of communication - we know you have questions and we’re doing our absolute best to get answers to you as soon as possible

The next edition of Roadburn will take place 15-18 April, 2021. Tickets purchased for the 2020 edition will remain valid - you do not need to do anything at this time, just hold on to those tickets and show up next April. Our aim is to preserve as much of the line up as possible - we will be talking to bands over the coming weeks to re-confirm bookings, but things are looking positive on that front.

Tickets for the campsite and the night busses (i.e anything you bought direct, via 013.nl, roadburn.com and ticketmaster.nl) are also automatically transferred to April 2021 too.

We request just a little bit more patience for more detailed information. We know uncertainty is stressful, so we are working diligently to get you accurate information as quickly as possible, however, Roadburn is part of a complex industry that is in turmoil at the moment. We are part of a huge group of organisations, venues and others who are awaiting guidance from the Dutch government as to how to proceed. These circumstances are unprecedented in a legal, financial and logistical sense for the whole entertainment industry.

As we said previously, this has been a heartbreaking decision for us, taken in the middle of some of the most uncertain times that the live music industry has seen. What we have put in place here is designed to protect and preserve Roadburn as a festival and ensure our ability to function going forward. Whilst the rush to buy tickets on the day they go on sale has become a rite of passage for many, knowing that you’ve already got next year’s ticket in your pocket is hopefully a small silver lining!

Das habe ich auch erwartet und habe direkt mal ne Unterkunft gebucht. Mal sehen wie es dann mitm Lineup da aussieht, aber an sich vernünftige und gute Nachrichten.

Da ich Camping gebucht hatte hat sich zumindest die Unterkunft Sache erledigt. War abzusehen und schön das sie endlich Klarheit geschafft haben.

In 3 Tagen wäre der Flug nach Amsterdam angestanden und am Donnerstag hätte das Festival für mich mit Hante, Lingua Ignota, 40 Watt Sun, She Past Away und Health (soooooooooo gut!!!) begonnen. Natürlich gibt es viele Menschen, die momentan ganz andere Sorgen als ein verschobenes Festival haben, aber nach Monaten der Vorfreude zieht mich das gerade ziemlich runter...

Gibt es eigentlich schon irgendwelche Infos zur nächsten Ausgabe? Zum Beispiel, welche Bands man von diesem Jahr "rüberretten" konnte? Oder ob man sich über ein Corona-Schutzkonzept Gedanken macht? Bisher habe ich gar nichts dergleichen mitbekommen...

Momentan sind die Aussichten für's erste Halbjahr 2021 stockfinster, machen wir uns nichts vor - wenn selbst ein Mini-Festival wie das HOH nicht durchführbar ist, sagt das eigentlich schon alles... Ich wäre extrem überrascht, wenn das Roadburn mit seinen internationalen Besucher und Bands nächstes Jahr stattfinden würde.
