THE INEXTRICABLE WANDERING

Our third full-length will be entitled “The Inextricable Wandering” and is set to be released worldwide on Friday, October 5th 2018 through Century Media Records. Less than two years after our second full-length “Converging Sins” (Vendetta Records, 2016), the album will see its release in the form of a gatefold double LP, digipack CD and digital, as well as a self released tape version on a later date. The album will bring six brand new songs with a complete running time of about 68 minutes.

As with “Converging Sins”, this album is yet another concept record of deeply personal content, this time ruminating about the connection between human fear and disappointment in its various forms. It was written over the course of six months and recorded and mixed under the supervision of our own Andy Rosczyk at his Goblin Sound Studio (Cologne). The record was mastered by Michael Schwabe at Monoposto Mastering GmbH (Düsseldorf) who has done duties for acts such as Einstürzende Neubauten and Philipp Boa And The Voodooclub. All visuals were taken by our friends Ivan K.Maras and Sara Biscaldi of Deathless Pictures and the artwork done by Thomas Reitmayer and Tobias Hahn.

This coming Friday (August 17th) we will release the first song “The Avarist (Eyes Of A Tragedy)” for all of you to listen to. The pre-order for the record will start on this day as well. The release show for the album will be at this year's Soulcrusher III in Doornroosje Nijmegen October 6th, followed by a ten day tour later in October which will take us through mainland Europe. We will post the dates soon. On this tour and for Bloodshed and Soulcrusher fest our dear friend Lars of Sun Worship will take over the second live guitar.

Das Cover gefällt mir nicht. Irgendwie wirkt das Cover zu gestellt und das schwarz im Hintergrund irgendwie künstlich schwarz.
Musik wird aber trotzdem wieder sehr gut werden. Ich hoffe auf ein ähnlich grandioses Werk wie die Converging Sins.

Ich find das Cover ziemlich geil. Hat so'n Edgar Wallace-Film-Style ... fehlt eigentlich nur noch, dass Kinski ins Bild hetzt und tot umfällt.

Keine Ahnung, ob die Promos schon raus sind. Das Album ist jedenfalls ganz, ganz groß geworden; ein riesiger Schritt nach vorne. Das heißt schon was bei einer bisher makellosen Diskographie. Der Opener ist so ziemlich das Beste, was Ultha je abgeliefert haben. Quasi ein Schaffensquerschnitt von den 90ern bis heute. Ich bin verliebt.

Edit: den Opener gibt es ja ab Freitag dann im Netz. Der Rest (5 weitere Songs; vielleicht anders, als so mancher erwartet) steht dem in nichts nach.

@Lobi Dann war das also der Release den du woanders so angepriesen hast? Ich muss ja sagen ich kann mit den EPs wenig anfangen, lässt mich stellenweise wirklich kalt (nicht im positiven Sinne). Das letzte Album gefällt mir da besser, hab es aber noch nicht oft genug gehört.

Aber Century Media ist auch einfach mal ein Kacklabel, so wie ich das in Erinnerung haben Pflegen die keine Bandcamp Releases und sind bei den Preisen meist extrem happig.

Bandcamp ist mir egal und dürfte eh von der Band selbst gemacht werde, aber der Rest ist mal wirlich komplett falsch.
