Es gibt inzwischen übrigens auch ein Lyric-Video zu Painkiller ...
@Bexham : andere Leute wollen da auch Symptom of the Universe drin wiederfinden, und der von mir erwähnte SLAYER-Part ist bei ca. 3:25.
Macht aber trotzdem Laune...
okay, der Titelsong ist schon derbe geklaut...aber trotzdem gut. hab heute das Vinyl erstanden (inkl. DLC...Yeah) und finde das Teil einfach gut. würde mich freuen wenn jetzt mal ein wenig Konstanz ins Line Up kommt.

So, mittlerweile bin ich bei einer guten `acht`.
Was bei mir heute besonders hängengeblieben ist:
Der `To tame a Land´ Gedächtnispart in "Voyage of the Wolf Raiders"
Die einzigen Stücke, die noch nicht so besonders zündeten sind:
`Cocoon` und `The illusion Tears´.
Ansonsten ein recht gutes Metal Album
Was bei mir heute besonders hängengeblieben ist:

Das Album läuft nun zum wiederholten Mal und gefällt mir recht gut.
Eine etwas kürzere Spielzeit hätte es auch getan, wobei ich nicht weiß auf welchen Titel ich verzichten würde.
Gesanglich sehr gut und die Abwechslung zwischen Heavy Metal und epischen bzw. progressiven Parts finde ich sehr gelungen.
Jetzt muss mir nur noch jemand erklären warum der wizzard kein wizard ist.

White Wizzard gibt es nicht mehr:
Well the time has come.
I started White Wizzard in late 2007 a little over 10 years ago.
With the first line up we crafted a great EP that sadly had too much
talent in one band to last…..
From there….I wrote 4 full length albums I am very proud of and had some fantastically talented musicians
that played on them.
Regardless of the internet bullshit written about me or the band, it was formed in the spirit of the music I loved and
nothing more.
It has always been about the music to me.
I feel all of our work has been world class and not only do I feel it is the best and most consistent in the “classic metal revival” genre so to speak…
But I feel our last and final album Infernal Overdrive can hang with anything put out the past 20 years in rock and metal.
I am very proud of the work this project has done. I feel it can and will stand the test of time.
But time does pass and some things run their course.
So unfortunately I have to announce that White Wizzard is over.
There will be no more albums or live shows. The last album is it. I am glad we got to do it.
I am proud of the latest video for Chasing Dragons and I wish all members of the band past and present well
in their musical and personal journeys.
For me, a new ticket and a new ride must be bought and taken.
So as this journey ends, a new one begins.
This will be my last post about this. It is time to end Jon Leon as well.
Keep making music and loving it, because there is not much else in this world that is as real and special.

das ist doch nur noch bescheuert. Infernal Overdrive ist bis jetzt vermutlich eins der besten Alben, die ich in diesem Jahr gekauft habe. :-P

Manchmal kommen sie wieder: ich wollte gerade mal gucken ob es irgendwelche Neuigkeiten bezüglich eines anderen Projektes gibt und stelle verwundert fest, dass Jon bereits im April ein neues WHITE WIZZARD-Lineup vorgestellt hat...

Ich denke, er wartet immer noch darauf, dass die Welt in White Wizzard das nächste große Ding erkennt und er entsprechende Umsatzerlöse verbuchen kann.
Ist auch sicherlich frustrierend: Du steckst viel Zeit und Arbeit (wahrscheinlich auch Geld) in so eine Herzensangelegenheit, die Kritiken sind gut, in sozialen Medien erzählen Dir die Leute wie geil dein neues Werk ist, nur um dann wahrscheinlich keine 1000 Stück abzusetzen.
Kickstarter Kampagnen werden doch auch immer wieder gecancelt, weil die Ziele nicht im Ansatz erreicht werden.
