Diabolvs was created in Chile in 2013 as an Old School Death Metal style band, with American, European and Latin influences. His guitarists Sergio Aravena and Rolando Castillo, began composing the music as a Home Studio project, which would later become his first studio EP album called Rite of Consecration. In his lineup also participated many musicians and friends of the old Chilean school, to finally complete his lineup with Claudio Carrasco in vocals and Fernando Leroy (Nomed Reburn) in Bateria. After several delays and a long work, finally in 2020 the project materializes with 6 songs loaded with brutal riffs accompanied by guitars with a lot of feeling, a devastating drums and guttural voices that close the composition and generation of a dark atmosphere.
The band's name comes from the tritone musical notes banned since the middle ages for causing horror and horror in people.
The creation of the cover of the EP was in charge of the Swedish artist Par Olofsson, responsible for magnificent graphic works of Immolation, Malevolent Creation and many others. The artwork clearly represents the theme of this band album, which includes a direct criticism of the crimes of the church and society since the beginning of time. For the mixing and mastering of Rite of Consecration, the Brazilian Sound Engineer Victor Hugo Targino worked, who managed to achieve the powerful sound of production. Vinyl and CD versions are also being prepared for Deathers who love those formats, which will be available in mid-2020. First abomination of this pact made by Fernando Leroy, Sergio Aravena, Rolando Castillo and Claudio Carrasco, who under the name of Diabolvs present their debut album called "Rite of Consecration".
With lyrics that speak about the abuses committed by the most disastrous institution in the history of humanity, this quartet performs an old-fashioned Death Metal, in which old glories such as Cannibal Corpse, Deicide (in the era of master Ralph Santolla) are invoked ), Morbid Angel plus certain aberrant touches of Immolation.
These "Rites of Consecration" are manifested in six feverish acts among which a fury is felt in the gutturals of Conde Carrasco. In my humble opinion the tracks to which more attention should be paid are: "Perpetual Sorrow", "Temple of Hypocrites" and "The Ancestral Spirits Claim Their Kingdom" for being the fastest and most merciless.
I can not fail to mention that the artwork for this manifesto was in charge of the Swedish Pär Olofsson and that the recordings were supervised by the Brazilian Victor Hugo Targino
A magnanimous debut that once again shows that in Chile Death Metal has excellent exponents ... more than recommended !!
