Das kann ich alles für das Konzert in Berlin am Sonntagabend genau so bestätigen. Die kamen auf die Bühne und es wurde sehr schnell klar: hier und heute werden keine Gefangenenen gemacht. Was eine Stage Presence der gesamten Truppe! Auch hier war der Sound sehr gut und die Band auf einem atemberaubenden Niveau. Die ganze Vielschichtigkeit von Summerland (für mich das beste Album aus dem Jahr 2020) konnten sie sehr gut rüberbringen und das Publikum war gleich im Bann. Nach dem Konzert auf dem Weg zur Bahn haben wir noch eine ganze Weile gebraucht, um zu begreifen was da gerade abging.

Dear All,
It might have seemed as though not a lot has been happening around DOOL. However, the opposite is the case, and today we’d like to share some newsworthy facts with you.
First and foremost, this is an announcement for our upcoming live album ‘VISIONS OF SUMMERLAND’, which was recorded last December in our hometown Rotterdam, surrounded by loved ones, friends and family. In front of our most dearest fans, we played one of the, if not the best show in our existence as a band so far. In between the sacral ornaments of the Arminius Church, we channelled all our frustration, pain and love for music into what became both a celebration of, as well as a requiem for the 'Summerland' era, which was heavily shrouded by the global pandemic and left a big mark on us as a band. We also knew in the back of our minds, this would also be the last show of our long-time drummer and friend Micha, who announced his departure in private a few months earlier. His personal life needs more time and attention, and we fully support this. We dedicate this recording to Micha. Thank you for being the best friend out there, and for a lifetime of musical memories made. May the Light shine brightly on the new path in your life!
On the other hand, our creative Fire has been fuelled to the fullest, and we are ready to hit the studio this Fall to record our third full length album, expected to be released on Prophecy Productions in Spring ’24. More details on this later this Year.
Lastly, a new album means a new tour. We can’t wait to hit the road again and play our new material for you in the Flesh. From now on, our EU bookings will be in the hands of the infamous Doomstar Bookings. Inquiries can be made at luc@doomstarbookings.com

Ui, schön zu hören, dass es da weitergeht. Hatte schon befürchet, auch diese Band wäre nun Geschichte, bzw. von der Geschichte aus dem Rennen genommen worden. Völlig richtig, tolles Livedokument eines offensichtlich sehr besonderen Abends. Ich mag das ja sehr, wenn Livealben tatsächlich an einem Abend aufgenommen sind und eine spezielle Atmosphäre transportieren, sofern das überhaupt möglich ist.
Und es zeigt das Können der Band, wenn die Songs nicht einfach nur als Reproduktion der Studioaufnahmen gespielt werden, sondern auch mal ein bisschen variiert wird. Hier ist das so, tolles Album.

Nimmt mich noch nicht so recht mit, aber das ist keine Überraschung. Dool sind so eine Band, die zuverlässig dann zündet, wenn ich den Poll gerade abgegeben habe.
