Steven Wilson

I’m working on two albums. One of them, which will be out if not by the end of this year, then certainly early next year – which is a guitar record! – funnily enough, that’s not a solo record. That’s going to be a collaboration, but I can’t say who with at the moment. It’s much more of a guitar record. And then the following year, I wanna put out a proper follow up to The Future Bites, which I think will be the next logical step on, from Future Bites. Again, quite electronic, perhaps a bit more dour, a bit downbeat this time, a bit more melancholic than Future Bites was, but it’s early days so I can’t say that for sure. So yeah, trying to keep up the output in the absence of being able to tour.

Fleißiges Kerlchen wie immer...

Bin gespannt, was kommt. Future Bites war nicht so meins. Aber wir werden bestimmt auch nicht nochmal dieselbe Scheibe bekommen :top:

Also gegen eine gitarrenlastige Zusammenarbeit mit Barbieri, Harrison und Edwin hätte ich ja gar nix.

Bin ich doch, bin ich doch... :)
Wobei ich sagen muss, dass ich TFB wirklich gut finde. Sicher kein Klassiker für die Ewigkeit, aber ich lege das Album nach wie vor gern auf und freue mich jedes Mal, wenn meine älteste Tochter (6) bei "Personal Shopper" voll abgeht... ;)

Ist einfach nicht mehr so recht meins, ich denke, auch das kommende Album muss nicht in meine Sammlung, wenn der Rest in diese Richtung geht. Betrachte ich dies

...dann baue ich eher auf "certainly early next Year". In Sachen Kollaboration schoss mir irgendwie Martin Miller durch den Kopf, warum auch immer....hach, immer diese Spekuliererei....
 
Also mir gefällt das neue Stück.
Man darf dazu nur nicht das Video schauen; das nervt mich Maximal.

Soll wohl sowas wie Kunst sein. o_O
 
Irgendwie bin ich bei Wilson momentan raus. Das letzte Album und auch der neue Song berühren mich überhaupt nicht.
Die ersten 3 Soloalben finde ich nach wie vor richtig gut, aber die zuletzt nun eingeschlagene Richtung gibt mir leider nichts.
Und ich bin auch offen für Sachen, die weit über den üblichen Tellerrand hinaus gehen, auch gerne Pop etc. aber dennoch
holt es mich null ab.

Problem an dem Song: Der Flügel setzt großartige Akzente aber dieses Geflirre an Elektronik (und ich mag Elektromusik) ist so zappelig, dass es mir den ganzen Song zerhaut. Die beiden Performer in dem Video auch mega gut.
 
Die beiden neuen Songs finde ich sehr gelungen, wogegen mir das letzte Album überhaupt nicht zugesagt hat. Kreativität scheint auf jeden Fall da zu sein.
