Die neue EP ist heute wieder ein paar mal gelaufen. Gefällt mir wieder richtig gut. Auch wieder so eine Band, die deutlich mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient hätte. Wirklich schwache Sachen hat die Band noch nicht veröffentlicht. Freu mich schon aufs Album.

Witzig, die Exuma Platte mit diesem Song lief früher bei uns ziemlich häufig, da werden Kindheitserinnerungen geweckt. Hätte jetzt nicht unbedingt damit gerechnet, dass Denial of God der Auslöser dafür sein würden...

Die Exuma-Platte hat diese tiefe, brutale Höllen-Basstrommel, die klingt als ob der Antichrist persönlich jeden Moment aus der Grube steigt (in 'Dambala' zB), da krieg ich jedes mal Gänsehaut.
Überhaupt war die Entdeckung von diesem karibischen anti-cosmic Voodoo Irrsinn schon ziemlich spannend für mich

Die ersten vier Exuma Alben waren für mich auch super wichtig.
Dambala ist ein Highlight des Debuts.
Mein Favorit der Scheibe ist allerdings das düster klagende prozessionelle Seance In The Sixth Fret.

Nach dem Snake Album war für mich der Zauber raus. Und die Sachen wurden funkig - soulig auf eine recht oberflächige Art.
Eines Sterns jenseits des Mars unwürdig.
Hatte Album 5 und 6 Reincarnation und Life billig auf Plattenbörsen geschossen aber schnell wieder weggegeben.
Braucht echt niemand.
Die Alben 1-4 sind zu empfehlen, wenn man sich mit Exuma stärker beschäftigen mag.

Auf dem zweiten Album sticht die Voodoo ähnliche Zeremonie Paul Simon Nontooth hervor.

Als DENIAL OF GOD Fan bitte mal THE RITE antesten. Ustumallagam on vocals, ansonsten Musiker aus Italien dabei. Veröffentlicht auf IBP. Geht mehr in die doomige Celtic Frost-Richtung und hat einen Goatlord coversong. Also altmodisch und deshalb gut (Korrektur: sehr gut).
