Sithlord und High Command, um zwei Beispiele zu nennen, die öfters geprüft und von den bekannten Maniacs für lobenswert befunden wurden, konnten mich nicht überzeugen. Zu brav, zu bieder, zu unspektakulär, auch nach dem Sonntagswaschgang.

The Scourge und Warsenal stehen auf der Hörkandidaten-Liste. Lowest Creature sind auf die Kaufliste gewandert. White Mantis kommen mit dem Stormspell-Packerl irgendwann. Sonst passt meine Liste. 2019 war ein sehr gutes Thrash-Jahr.

Erkenntnisse:
Der Underground brodelt heiß und fettig, die alten Säcke langweilen oft nur noch. Ausnahme von letzterem Xentrix und meine Lieblinge Protector/Exumer. Schmiers oft gelobte Platte kenne ich gar nicht, obwohl Sifringer-Fanboy. Selbst die "neuen" Sodom werden erst mit dem neuen Langspieler eingehender geprüft.

Ich versuche es gerade nochmal mit der letzten Red Death, nachdem ich vom Zweitling ja total begeistert war: Ist immer noch nicht geil. Zu viel gemäßigter Midtempo-Groove, viel zu wenig Abfahrt und Punk. Und selbst die Songs sind dann nicht so stark wie vorher. Schadst!
