Derartige Superlative wie im Eingangsposting würde ich so auf den ersten Hör zwar noch nicht auspacken wollen (dafür ist mir der Low-Fi- und Rumpelfaktor zu hoch), aber hat schon was. Werde die Band mal im Auge behalten.

Verdammt. Hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich das mal sagen würde, aber offenbar verbringe ich zu wenig Zeit online.

Dazu steht ja was im verlinkten Interview:

There are already plans for a tape version to be put out through Sarlacc. Did this come together due to the cooperation you had with the label through Demon’s Gate? Will the demo be a tape only release? If so, why? I guess you have already been approached by labels wanting to release the recordings on other formats as well?

– Yeah, Sarlacc did a great job with the Demon’s Gate tape so when Chevalier started to shape up I asked Mairtin if he was interested to cooperate again. We have been approached by several labels about CD and vinyl release too but want to have the tape done first before making any other plans. Since “A Call to Arms” is a pretty full package and not just a demo really I think it should be out on vinyl too in the future.

FINLAND’S CHEVALIER AND LEGIONNAIRE PLAN SPLIT RELEASE

Representing a new breed in Finnish classic metal, Chevalier and Legionnaire will be teaming up for a split release via Gates Of Hell Records. The split - featuring one song from each band - will be recorded at Black Floyd’s Analog Studio in Hämeenkyrö, Finland. The recording will also mark the first Gates Of Hell release for CHEVALIER.

Comments CHEVALIER guitarist Tommi Puurunen: “We asked LEGIONNAIRE to do a split with us after playing gigs together to show the rest of the world a collaboration of Finnish metal played the way it never really has been played around here. Our side of the split is a fast-paced ripper taking you back a few centuries...”

“We are good friends with CHEVALIER and we are eagerly looking forward to the sessions and the release,” adds LEGIONNAIRE drummer Akseli Häärä. We are quite confident about the split release because we think the combination of LEGIONNAIRE and CHEVALIER is killer! That has already been proven since we've shared the stage with them a couple of times. There will be lots of epic guitar action, medieval tunes and speed coming up! -> Wäre ja schön, wenn das Chevalier Demo A Call To Arms dann auch einmal physisch veröffentlicht würde. Sollte da nicht zumindest mal ein Tape über Sarlacc Productions kommen?
